 Divorce Information
Divorce records are maintained by the court of common pleas in each
county. Prior to 1851, the records werefound in either the county supreme court, the county chancery court, or the county common pleas court. Appeals were made to the state legislature. After 1913 divorces were handled by a division of the county court of common pleas known as the domestic relations court.
