George and Ester Murfin
George Wesley Murfin b. July 8, 1849 in
Galena, Scioto County, Ohio (listed on
the 1880 census) and he died in 1910
in Missouri.

George Wesley married Ester Jane Lowell
on Oct. 25, 1877 in Adams County, Ohio.
Ester died in 1932 in Hartshorn,
Missouri. George Wesley and Ester
are buried in Antiock Cemetery,
Texas county, Missouri.

George & Esther moved from Ohio by
covered wagon to Big Creek, north of
Hartshorn, MO.

Grace Belle, the daughter of George
and Ester, went blind at about ten
months of age and never married.
She died at the age of 38 after being
burned from an oil stove.

George Wesley Murfin was the son of
Thomas James Murfin (born in Adams
County, Ohio and shown in the 1860
census in Brush Creek Township,
Scioto County), and Sarah Ann
Amelia Elmore. Thomas James and
Sarah Ann Murfin are buried in
 Locust Grove Cemetery in Adams
County.
